KATHRYN SMITH "PUTTING GRAVESHAM FIRST".

Gravesham Labour Party is pleased to announce the selection of Kathryn Smith as its Parliamentary Candidate for our Borough.
Kathryn Smith has lived in North West Kent almost her whole life. Until recently she was a company director for the Co-operative Bank, Co-operative Insurance and the Co-operative Group, but she stood down to work for Gravesham's Residents.
Kathryn has served as a local Councillor and is a former Leader and Deputy Mayor of Bexley. She has also served on her local NHS Primary Care Trust with special responsibilities for maternity services and children's services.
Kathryn was Chair of the Thames Gateway Skillswork Board with responsibility for a £70 million regeneration project in the Thames Gateway. She retains an interest in the latest regeneration projects around Northfleet Riverside and Ebbsfleet International Station.
Speaking after her selection, Kathryn said:
"I am looking forward to campaigning for the Labour Party in Gravesham. The Labour Government has delivered lasting benefits to the area, tackling pensioner poverty and investing in local schools and healthcare services."
"I hope to play an active role in the community. I will hold regular advice surgeries and work hard to ensure the views of Gravesham residents are heard at the highest level of Government."
